While Matthias was aware his trailer was possibly fancier than some - while not being as fancy as others here - it was a requirement when he'd got three horses to transport. Technically there were more to the string he'd brought but some of those were still in quarantine, or the sales were still finalising. Carefully he moved to lead Capitan out of the open trailer, the Akhal Teke's nostrils flared as he looked around, coat glimmering in the sun. Of course the early morning tranquility was rather ruined by Gregorvich opting at that point to whinny loudly, protesting at being totally ignored and left alone.
With a sigh he called back to the other horse "Sshh, you'll wake anyone still asleep! I promise I'm coming back to you," but first to get the Akhal Teke to his stable... which maybe would have helped if he'd have checked where he was to stable his own 3. He was aware that these were on the semi board option, with the equal option to increase to full board for when he was out of the area, but - looking around - he realised he had no idea if there was a specific barn for that.
Another groan escaped as Tamarin chose to break the quiet Gregorvich was allowing by kicking at the side of the trailer, voicing her own boredom.

Rebel was covered in sweat after today's workout. The bay had pushed harder than Kennedi had anticipated, but she didn't mind. As long as he didn't over work himself, all was well with the world. She didn't need an over tired horse on her hands. She led the bay back towards the stables, ready to brush him off. The bay perked his ears forward, as if he was listening to something the closer they got to the barn. Kennedi raised her eyebrows at the horse, knowing he had better hearing than she did. But it wasn't long until she heard what sounded like an impatient horse in a trailer. At least one, if not two or three.
Kennedi walked around the side of the barn, leading the bay towards the noise. She had to walk into the barn that way, anyhow. She then noticed a fancy trailer - much fancier than hers. And she heard noises coming from inside of it. That must be what she had heard walking up. She then noticed a gorgeous Teke, and a gorgeous guy standing in the doorway to the barn. "You look lost," she commented, and smiled at the guy.

"More I... neglected to plan ahead..." Matthias gave a shrug of his shoulders. "Matthias Harrison, these are the three that are already fully cleared to travel, I'll have another 4, either way though, I forgot to check where these three are being stabled," he glanced over at her with another of his sheepish smiles. "Also, don't let your horse get too close to Capitan here, he tends to prefer to bite than say nice," even as he spoke the teke had his ears half pinned and he looked up at him. "And you can change your face mr," he added on.
"Also I apologise for the noise from those two," this was spoken with a slightly raised voice as he found they started to kick or neigh respectively. "I have one who kicks at anything solid and non-moving when bored, and another who just hates being ignored," which made him give a half amused sigh.

[attr="class","box2"]Kennedi smiled. "That happens to the best of us," she said. She was good at not planning ahead. Going by whatever sounded good at the time. "Kennedi Atwood," she said, offering a hand, but then pulled it back. She realized she didn't want to get too close to his horse with Rebel, as she didn't know how they would act together. And she didn't need a fight on her hands. Especially if she wanted to keep Rebel in good shape for shows. "Quite the hoard," she giggled. Seven horses was a bit too much for the eighteen year old. She had one, and that was almost good enough for her. Though, she did have her eye on a horse that was up for auction.
"I do believe there's a list around here, somewhere," she said, shrugging. She wasn't even sure of that, but it was worth a shot. Maybe she could help him find it, after she put Rebel away, of course. But there was the chance that it wasn't updated, and he wasn't on it, either. If the list even existed. Hopefully they could figure out where he was boarded together, though.
Kennedi took a step back from the Teke, with Rebel following suit. She had been right to be wary of the horse. He was gorgeous, though. She giggled at Matthias' comment to his horse. She had had that talk with Rebel quite a few times. Kennedi shrugged at Matthias. "It's the sound of a stable," she commented. It wasn't like she hadn't heard noisy horses before. "They sound like fun," she said. Matthias smiled relieved at the comment of it being fine about his noisy horses, and the list. "I'd tie him up but he's even more of a pain when tied - he'll at the least try and pull loose," he gave a slight sigh - shrugging again. Such was the life apparently.
"Two of my horses will need to be boarded together, that would be Lothario and Spot - Spot is technically the stall companion but well," that brought a slight smile. Who'd have thought the rough and ready shetland pony he'd brought just because he reminded him of his first pony, would be such a useful addition to his group, even if the shetland was equally prone to causing all kinds of chaos.
Capitan snorted softly shaking his head, pawing at the ground eagerly. "I'll let you get your horse put away, he's beautiful by the way, and then if you would be happy to help?" he grimaced.
There was another loud whinny from the trailer, another stamp. He almost shook his head at the way the trailer was being subjected to his other horses whims, Gregorvich giving another loud neigh and whinny, nosing about trying to find some way of getting at least some attention. Or at least to see what was happening, bored of not being the center of attention.

[attr="class","box2"]Kennedi giggled. And she thought she had a problem horse with Rebel. He was sounding like an angel compared to the Teke in front of her. "He sounds like a handful and a half," she teased, smiling at the man. "Did you bring those two with you? Or is that something we can deal with later?" she asked, worrying. She was only a groom at the stable. She wasn't in charge of putting horses where they belong. "We can definitely figure it out, though. I'm sure it won't be a problem," she said, more confidently. She had just been in the right place at the right time to help the man. And she wasn't even on duty at the moment. Maybe the owners would see she's helping off-duty and give her a bonus. Doubtful, but worth a shot. But she didn't mind helping him, either way. She'd want the help if she had that many horses with her. Especially ones that were impatient as his.
Kennedi nodded at him, and led Rebel to his stall. She made sure he had water, and then left him to be brushed down later. He would live with some sweat on him. Besides, she was going to help get these other horses situated. She bounded cheerfully back to Matthias, and smiled brightly at him. "Alright, let's get to work," she said, excitedly. "If I'm thinking correctly, there's a list over here," she said, and headed over towards a wall by the main office in the barn. "What kind of boarding are you doing?" she asked. She was really trying to be helpful. [newclass=.box2]margin:0px auto; width:300px; height:425px; background: transparent; overflow:auto; padding:8px;[/newclass] [newclass=.box2::-webkit-scrollbar]width:5px;[/newclass] [newclass=.box2::-webkit-scrollbar-thumb]background: #f025d7;[/newclass]

The teke snorted again pawing once more trying to snake his head out to nip at Rebel and snorting as he got a firm tug and a glare. "Be nice" was all Matthias' had stated to the highly opinionated horse. "Lothario hasn't been released yet, technically Spot has but for their sanity I've left him in situ...Lothario otherwise ...well" lets not go into Lothario's bad habits shall we.
"As for these three they're all on semi-board, but there will be the times I'll need them on full board... I work as a model sometimes I'm out of state," he shrugged again. It was what it was. "Capitan here isn't very good with horses being a biter so it's probably best if he's got a stall where he can only pull faces, Gregorvich is prone to stealing things left nearby, and Tamarin can kick if startled - normally by someone going suddenly behind her," he shrugged again. It was what it was.
"There's three horses that I'll be bringing over that will be open for use as lesson horses, they just haven't arrived yet, still being held," also again it is what it is. Right?

HOVERING ABOVE JUST A FLOCK OF BIRDS IT'S HOW YOU THINK OF LOVE ♥
[attr="class","box2"]Rebel was Kennedi's first horse she was able to call her own. He had been a rescue colt her step-dad bought from a slaughter auction. And Kennedi had loved him from the day he arrived at her home. "They sound like an interesting pair," she said. She hadn't ever had to deal with a bonded pair before. She had no idea what that was like. Being eighteen, she was a bit naive about most things. She knew her way around her horse, but if he were to get sick or anything along those lines, she'd be lost. Luckily, she had all of the people around her at the stable to ask questions if she ever needed the help. And there was a veterinarian whom she had met not far away from the barn either. So she was pretty sure she was in a safe place.
Kennedi nodded and scanned the lists for the barns. "It looks like you're in this barn," she said, grinning brightly. They'd be sharing a barn together, with the many other horses that were in the stable. "You're a model?" she blurted out. Of course, he had looked like he could be one. He definitely had the looks for it. But she would have never actually assumed he was one. "What is that life like? Is it like I imagine with all the cameras and the people?" she asked, not able to control herself. She was excited, and slightly spastic.
Kennedi glanced down at the list in her hand, trying to regain her composure. "If you follow me, I'll lead you to the best stalls for them," she said, marching down the aisle of the stalls, her face blushing from being so blunt.
Matthias gave a nod easily moving to follow her, leading Capitan who was snorting softly, near jigging next to him the akhal teke undecided as to if he wished to have his ears pinned back or not. "It's, stressful, not so much in front of the cameras - I've got started to focus more on Equestrian modelling when I can anyway - but the strain that comes with it, always watching what you eat, always worrying if you're going to have to fight to get the next contract," he gave a slight sigh.
"I ended up moving away from New York where I grew up out here to join my brother," as to why he had no plans of actually stating. "Upped and moved all my horses with me, I'll probably be jetting off in a month or so to attend a photoshoot to promote the Longines watch for their next show series," he added on. All a lot of product placement work now, but at least he could be around the horses.
"But either way, I'm here for now, and while I particularly focus on dressage I see the use for my horses being able to do jumping as well, if only to make them think more, and give them a change. Do you know if there is any dressage trainers here? Or anyone who'd be willing to give a jumping lesson?"
[attr="class","box2"]Kennedi had always assumed modeling was one of those jobs that brought you fame and fortune. It had never occurred to her that models even could be stressed out. It was always just an assumption that they were always happy. They always looked happy in the magazines. But, she guessed, that was their job. They were meant to look happy, whether or not they actually were. If they weren't good at their job, they wouldn't be in that field. "Seems more difficult than I imagined," she commented.
She shrugged. She had no idea why she had moved to Choteau. It wasn't anywhere near her family. It had nothing to do with anything she had ever done before, except for the horses. She knew what she was doing when it came to horses. "It's good to have family nearby," she said, smiling at him. She almost wished her step-dad was closer. He was only a phone call away, but still. She felt homesick occasionally, and wanted him. Her mother was a different story, and she was okay with being as far away from her as possible. Her step-dad was always the one who had spoiled her. "How often do you travel for work?" she asked, curiosity getting the best of her.
"Right now, I only know of a show jumping trainer off-hand. And another trainer at the other barn in town, but I think she mostly does Western riding. I think she knows English, though, too," she said. It was a small town after all. Most people knew each other. It helped that she worked as a groom at the barn. She got to know people quicker that way. She had met the show jumping trainer, as they worked in the same barn together, but she hadn't met the other one. She had no need to see a western trainer. But she knew the girl had gone to school for training in general. Word spread fast in a small town.
Matthias shrugged "Doing the equestrian modelling is at least easier, it's all about selling the products," which was somewhat why he tried to make sure his horses were equally as immaculate looking. Also why he had a wide variety of tack from some rather nice names, when he certainly didn't have the money to purchase such.
"As to my travelling, it does rather depend on what jobs I have, though you'll probably see me with my agent discussing potential shoots, but if I'm in high demand," he gave a slight shrug. Such was life. "So I will probably end up needing to arrange someone to exercise my various horses when I'm away, I know I'm paying with the option to switch up when needed but some of my bunch are very capable at playing up if they believe the rider," he paused trying to work out his words.
"I'll have to keep a look out for the trainer though, while they all are technically dressage horses other than Sox who is more jumper focused, the idea of them working in other disciplines I see as advantageous, even if I won't compete them in such a discipline myself," if only because grid work and the like could do wonders towards helping a horse either find their balance or numerous other skills, or in some cases improve their confidence.
"Which stall do you think would be best suited for Capitan?" he asked as the teke snorted again looking around.
[attr="class","box2"]Kennedi nodded. His Teke was gorgeous, so it made sense that he would do equestrian modeling. Especially with his own horses. She wasn't actually sure whether or not he used his own horses, but she could see why he would. "It sounds like an interesting job, for sure. I haven't actually ever thought about modeling too much. I mean - I definitely wouldn't be a model. I trip over my own two feet," she said, almost all in one breath. "But it sounds like a nice gig for you. I mean, as long as you're happy, right?"
"What's the most exotic place you've been?" she asked. She wanted to go on, but bit her tongue. She was trying to keep herself in control when it came to speaking. She knew she had a habit of talking too much at times, and wanted other people to be able to talk as well. "I'm a groom here, so I'll probably be one of the people helping out when it comes to your horses," she offered up. She had riding abilities as well, but hadn't actually used them since coming to the stable. Maybe she'd be able to use her abilities with his horses while he was away on trips.
Kennedi shrugged. She had offered up what knowledge she had for a trainer. It wasn't much, but she did her best. Hopefully he'd find what suited his needs at some point. "I hope you find what you're looking for," she said, with a smile. "Do you compete in only dressage then? Or do you do other things?" she asked. Turning towards him, she stopped at a stall, that she thought would be best for his Teke. It was out of reach from most of the other stalls, so he wouldn't be able to bite at the other horses. "I think this one should suit him well," she said, gesturing towards it.
Matthias gave a smile "As long as you can look good stood still," he shrugged. Having two left feet as long as you could learn how to take a pose wasn't always a bad thing. Easily he led Capitan into the stall he was shown to, agreeing that yes this was probably a good option for him to stable in, even as the teke snorted softly. "Is there a set place to keep tack? Lockers or anything like that or is it bring it with you?" he questioned wanting to know as much as he could about the stable he was keeping his horses at, wincing at a particularly loud whicker from Gregorvich, moving to unclip the lead rope from the teke's halter as he left him in his stable.
"And I think that's my cue to get Gregorvich, he's a sweetheart, always wants to please," he added on with a smile "even if he has the habit of demanding to be center of attention at the same time," and yet he wouldn't wish to leave behind any of his so called problem children. "If you want I'll bring both my other two out, though I'm probably better handling Tamarin, while she's not aggressive she's that much of a people horse she wants to be in your back pocket, and not just for the polos you may or may not be carrying"
[attr="class","box2"]Kennedi paused. She could probably look good standing still, but she still didn't think she was cut out for the model life. It just didn't seem to suit her goals. She figured she should just leave it to Matthias. She shook her head at him. "I don't think I'm cut out for it," she said, with a small smile. She liked her job as a groom as it was. It was fun and she was around the horses all day. She really didn't think it could get better than that. Sure, she was was shoveling manure and cleaning tack, but she had riding abilities, too. And that was what really made her job worth it. "Yeah! I'll show you the lockers and everything after we get your horses settled in," she said. "They're right over there," she pointed down a hallway in the barn.
Kennedi nodded. "He sounds like he's ready," she giggled. She started walking back to the trailer with Matthias. "Of course I'll help. And like, yeah," she agreed. "I'll let you handle her. Give me the easier one." She didn't want to be run down by a mare who sounded like a handful. Wouldn't that be a great first impression.
Matthias responded with a nod, an easy smile, as he moved to offload Gregorvich, the sooty bay horse stepping elegantly down the ramp, neck arched, pausing to look around with a soft snort. "This is Gregorvich, he has no vices other than an overwhelming need to be centre of attention," he stated easily, before he headed back up the ramp into the trailer.
He soon reappeared, having to dig an elbow into Tamarin's chest a few times as she was trying to step on top of him, nosing at his pockets. "Easy girl," he stated to the mare, who was again looking around, pawing at the ground ears pricked attentively.
Gregorvich gave another whicker turning into a whinny as he decided he wasn't gaining attention. "If you can show me where these would be best stabled," he stated calmly, as Tamarin was trying to nudge into his pockets again. "You, nose out. I have no treats," he stated to her as if she understood what he meant. "Also another question I forgot to ask, is there a board of who's using what school? While I'm aware I've only really just got here, I know that I want to get back into schooling work with them," he added on with a slight smile.
He wasn't sure why he was explaining so much, just that he was wanting to explain himself to the other. Tamarin snorted again shaking her head before butting against him, quickly trying to rub against his back with a soft snort, again trying to force closer into him, moving fully into his space as she shifted to have her chest against his back, trying to explore him, ears still pricked, listening around.
Gregorvich gently nudged against Kennedi meanwhile, just looking for attention with another soft whicker.
[attr="class","box2"]Kennedi took hold of the gorgeous bay, happy to help out Matthias. She stroked the horse's forelock, smiling up at him. She nodded to Matthias. "You have some gorgeous horses," she said, happily.
Kennedi watched as Matthias brought out the mare. She seemed to be a bit more hard-headed than Gregorvich. For a minute, she was happy she had the easier mount. She didn't need to be stepped on. "Ohmygod, seriously? You're one lucky guy. She is gorgeous, too!" she said. Some gorgeous horses for a handsome guy. Of course he'd have good looking horses. He was a model. And he probably used the horses for modeling, too.
She turned her focus to Gregorvich as he whinnied. She stroked his neck, trying to give him some attention. But when Matthias spoke, she lost her focus on the horse. "Right this way," she said, and led the horse into the barn. She stopped at his next question. "Yep! It's in the locker room," she said. "I'll show you when we see the lockers." She kind of smiled at him, not sure why he was explaining himself. But she didn't mind. She generally over explained herself as well.
Kennedi pushed Gregorvich away, slightly. And then gave into the attention he wanted. "We've gotta find you a stall, gorgeous," she said, and again started to lead him into the barn. Once she was at a stall, she pointed. "I think this one is good for Gregorvich, and this one for Tamarin," she said. They weren't too far away from Captain either, so that way, Matthias could be close to all of his horses.
Some horses will test you some horses will teach you And some will bring out the best in you
WORD COUNT TAGS WHATEVER
Matthias nodded at the explanation, giving a grateful smile. "Honestly? I'm just relieved to have any help," he stated simply, looking around nodding. "And I'd agree, this does look perfect for my needs," he added on with another smile, as he easily led Tamarin into her new stable, the chestnut mare snorting again, and once more trying to get into his pocket with a snort. [break][break] Gregorvich was far calmer, other than to affectionally nudge into Kennedi every so often, carrying himself very much as if he was the king and was expecting everyone to worship him, ears pricked intelligently. His gaze was soft however, as he whickered over to Capitan, as if in greeting to the moody akhal teke.
