Being a model Matthias takes particular care in how he looks, and his wardrobe is frequently described as 'on point' - even if this is mainly down to the fact he has access and knowledge to the latest trends, and upcoming fashion ideas. When he's not however working on modelling gigs, and most of his modelling work is starting to focus on the equestrian side now, he tends to be seen wearing jodhpurs and various v-neck t-shirts, switching to shirts and jumps in the winter, for warmth. His hair style tends to differ depending on what he needs for his next shoot, however right now he's very strongly favouring a swept back look over anything else.
Personality
Personable - As a general rule Matthias tends to believe that everyone deserves to be treated with respect, and as thus he tends to be very focused on being polite and generally kind to people. Wise - He's also learnt to be rather wise, having a strong business sense, and a willingness to disagree if something doesn't seem correct or right in matters relating to himself. Some of his friends also look to him for feedback on choices they have to make Emotional - There are times when he can be easily excited, or upset, by situations, and he will show his emotions easily, equally if he feels passionately about something it's obvious. Whimsical - Matthias has what can be described as a rather whimsical sense of humour, prone to pulling pranks, but in a manner that is playful, never going so far as to hurt someone (but occasionally playful pranking can go wrong!) Outspoken - On matters he feels strongly about Matthias isn't afraid to speak out about them, whether that's size 0 in the modelling industry, or matters relating to equine welfare, if he considers something is wrong, he's going to speak up, and make his voice heard. Progressive - While he doesn't identify as LGBT himself, he is an individual who is highly progressive, and firmly believes in the need for them to have the same rights as any straight couple. Equally he disagrees with anything that would percieve to drag the country back. His progressive stance on many issues also shows in his willingness to embrace and try out new technologies Insecure - Mainly down to his work as a model, where he could easily be replaced if he no longer meets the 'cut' as it were, Matthias is somewhat insecure, especially where his looks are concerned - to him if he has a breakout of spots it is the end of the world, his low self image can also lead to him being overly careful with what he eats Hesitant - despite his generally progressive nature and stance on most things, and his general willingness to adopt new technology early, it doesn't mean that he's going to immediately jump - he has a somewhat hesitant nature regarding such and there has to be a clear advantage to take the new technology before he'll wholeheartedly embrace it.
History
Matthias was born to a fairly normal family, in New York, in one of the wealthier districts - to be precise Little Italy - where he grew up, with his older brother, running the streets, getting into the usual childhood mischief, but this was all the harmless type of affair. This continued on until 15, where his life changed.
Age 15 he was scouted by a modelling agency, and by the time he was 18 - managing to finish high school, he was already somewhat burnt out by it all. For a while he did volunteering work, trying to get some sense of balance, however it wasn't until he hit the front pages of a fashion magazine that he found a sense of peace even harder to deal with. He'd also lost his older brother - in that he'd moved away. Age 25, on the verge of a breakdown his brother made contact with him, and offered him a chance to move to Choteau, MT. There he was already working with horses, and with his own wealth and the best wishes of his family, Matthias made the move.
It means more travelling, but it gave Matthias back the sense of balance, and he soon started to purchase his own small string of horses. He still tries to balance up modelling, with volunteer work at the local animal shelter, and looking after his horses, and most recently has won a lucrative contract to be the 'face' of the Longines World Tour, showing off the Longines watch, and getting a front seat to all the events - leaving his life more hectic than ever
