Welcome to Choteau, Montana, in 2018. What was once only a small city focused on fossils, has now started to turn into an equestrian mecca. Everyone still knows everyone, so the question remains, what will you become?
06/04 - Site opened 18/04 - Update log #01 including new features! 27/04 - A New skin has been released!
Frederick used to be based in England/Europe during eventing season, training and selling the occasional horse and riding his own in competitions. He's got his eyes set on not necessarily the Rolex Grand Slam, but really, that would be so so cool, but the Olympics are also definitely appealing. He's gotten close before, he just might manage one day. In general he's a pretty good guy; seems a little shy, isn't always very outgoing, but underneath the careful exterior he's rather a kind, loyal and persistent fellow.
Aside from English and a smattering of French and German he's also fluent in ASL - his mother is deaf, and he's hard of hearing himself, though the hearing aids fix quite a bit of that. He's also a diabetic, which he's not hiding, but not showing off either.
Friends Frederick isn't overly discerning; as long as you don't betray him or bad-mouth him, he's probably good with you. First moves may need to come from you, but he's open to friends. He definitely needs some, it gets far too quiet sometimes, and yes, he realizes the irony in that.
Enemies I can't quite think of any reasons right now, but if you want to be his enemy, pitch it, who knows ^^
Love This is a bit of a tricky topic: Frederick is demisexual, meaning that he doesn't really feel sexual attraction to strangers, but only to people he knows pretty well. So yes, you can graduate from the friendzone. He's not very open about this, which might be fun to play with at some point?
Luciano & Frederick I can see Luciano and Frederick having some knowledge of each other, and probably some respect even though they competed in different competitions, I can also see them having some form of business knowledge towards each other given Luciano also works as a trainer now, and likely is seen around Cozy Meadow Farm
Michael & Frederick Michael is a stable hand and on parole there. As thus while he doesn't always -like- Frederick, it's more because he's used to pushing people away, because hey if he pushes everyone away then no one can possibly want to bother him and so he won't get used to someone paying any attention to him, and while he doesn't -like- it like that, it spares him the crushing disappointment.
Aidan & Frederick
Aidan boards his opinonated mare at Cozy Meadow Farm, these two at the least would have some form of business type relationship, though I'd love it if there was the possiblity of Frederick almost 'mentoring' Aidan in his free time and trying to coax him out of his shell a bit more. Aidan has Aspergers Syndrome so he's easily overwhelmed but either way
Gabriel & Frederick
Given Gabriel is a stable owner himself (co-owner technically) I'm not sure how these two would interact, but i'd like to see there being some form of friendship, maybe even friendly rivalry as Gabriel climbs the ladder(s) - once he has his first horse that is!

Frederick & Luciano Sounds good Frederick tries to be nice to everyone who visits the farm, and trainers definitely should be kept close-ish xD You never know what kind of clientele they could bring in, or even if he wants training from him at some point xD Though what does he ride/train?
Frederick & Michael I imagine Michael is somewhat of an experiment to him, though he's invested in a good outcome. He'll try not to take it to heart if Michael keeps pushing him away, maybe try to involve him in things beynd stable hand duties? Invite him for lunch or dinner, maybe, ask him along on a ride around the property or something?
Frederick & Aidan This is quite interesting, actually. Frederick isn't exactly typical himself (diabetes & hard of hearing), though that's a whole different ballgame. He'll definitely try to lure Aidan out of his shell - mentoring might actually start with the horse? One of Fred's is a rather bitchy mare herself, and she's performing at top levels (well, almost), so there's definitely that could happen there?
Frederick & Gabriel Drawing a bit of a blank here atm, sorry, though being friendly rivals might be fun to toy with.
It's cool regarding Gabriel and Frederick - I'm equally drawing a blank xD
Luciano used to be a top flight show jumper until an injury left him with a fractured arm and his horse he was riding injured, when she pulled through he retired and brought her off her owners rather then let her go for meat, refused to compete again and moved. So he trains primarily around Show jumping
Starting with horses is a good idea! Marj (Aidan's charming mare), is highly opinionated and isn't an -easy- ride. For some reason Aidan adores her, and she's teaching him some very good riding skills. Rides around the property sounds like a good idea. He does normally take Thor (his service dog) with him nearly everywhere though there's a marked difference in temperments to when he's wearing his working harness to without (without he acts like an oversized pupper!)

&& Luciano The plot bunnies are a-hopping for my next character already - she's a show jumper who never managed top flight, yet, but also tames and trains horses and will be a farrier xD But yeah, they can commiserate om terrible injuries and whatnot. So far Fed's horses have been spared, but he's keenly aware of how dangerous the sport is. He might also want some lessons at some point?
&& Aidan Sounds good! If he needs an easier but still challenging ride Fred might be willing to loan out Mojo for a bit. Fred also has a dog, a Dalmatian called Woffle the Second, who occasionally alerts him to his blood sugar as an official service dog, so Thor is more than welcome! Definitely opportunities there. D'you want it to be arranged, or just 'spontaneously' develop? Either way, do you want to open or should I?
I -so- want those two to almost meet at the Country Club now, at the bar xD because I just have this mental image of those two talking about competitions and injuries etc
Adrian and Frederick
I'm up for spontaneous! Adrian spends a lot of his time at the barn even if not riding, because he counts the barn as a 'safe' space as well, as long as no one talks to him at least.

&& Luciano I'm definitely game for a 'spontaneous' meeting at the Country Club, even though Fred's not much of a golfer. His folks tried their very best, though. Essential lifestyle, after all xD D'you want to open or should I?

I'm getting ready for work, Luciano is also not particularly good at the golf thing. He goes for the bar XD

I'm not 100% sure where to go with their relationship other than employer/employee. While not an eventer, Gail does believe in dressage as a foundation to good riding and jumping. And cross country is basically jumpers outside an arena. What do you think about them offering helpful critique to each other to improve their riding?
