Description
June is the quiet, calm, serene type of young woman with a bit of a shy side. She easily double guesses herself but makes a point to get over her hesitancy, especially while riding. Between work, competitive show jumping, and an aspiring singer/songwriter career, June is a busy bee and prefers it that way. She's an active one, loves hiking with her dogs and really anything outdoors but at the same time indulges in the comfortable silence of a library. Loneliness is something she can only handle so much, but instead of keeping up with a group of friends June tends to stick close to a few good ones. Though she's virtually independent, June is a hopeless romantic who cherishes affection (making her a tad clingy at times.)
With June preferring to stay so active, she takes up interest in a wide variety from nursing to horsemanship, dog training, guitar, piano, cooking, even some oil painting. She's a graduated Paramedic however doesn't use it to her full advantage due to the fact shifts take up too much time for her other interests. If you ask, riding and singing are her top two, neck-in-neck. Maybe she's a little indecisive on what she really wants to do with her life, but right now, everything fits in her schedule.
On the day to day, June is very easy to come by and patient, classy. Loves to wear dresses and get dolled up for nothing. She's not one to blatantly voice her opinions and can come off submissive in many relationships, however when she's called upon, June will step up to the plate and hold her ground. To some she might come off as prudish, but June's not one for parties and drinking. She has enough fun of her own sober.
history
She's a black sheep in so many retrospects she might not even be of Barrow blood. June takes more after her father than mother, has even since birth. Her mother was pretty rigid and aloof, though she tended to her children June felt she lacked a maternal connection with her three kids. In result, June grew toward her father's gentle nature and strong heart. It's what raised her expectations in a relationship and turned away the popular ideology of one-night-stands into her young adult years.
As the oldest of three, June was always the most reserved and quiet. Born and raised in Texas helping out on the family's cattle ranch, she was used to sitting back in the crowd of nine cousins and two siblings, usually sneaking away from the madness with her cousin Quinn to the barn to sing to the horses and play with the calves. While the cousins typically rode western and participated in junior rodeo, June preferred the tranquil classiness of English, but favored the competitive atmosphere of show jumping. It was the fast-paced rush the young girl needed to gain confidence.
June became serious about singing and songwriting in her middle school years through choir and theater arts, favoring the acoustic sound above all else, however by high school the sturdiness of a career in healthcare urged June to earn her Paramedics. It was a decision to force herself to face more real world in-the-moment incidents than an RN and hoped it would provide assistance in working out the kinks of her timidness and hesitancy--which it did for the most part. However with such demanding shifts, June stepped back from the ambulance and sought out a position as a rider for a local stable throughout college to earn her savings while she pursued a dream of singing on stage. Showing took much of her time, but gave just enough as well.
It wasn't until the closure of her sponsored stable that made June give in to her cousin Blake's constant prodding to move to Choteau. With the knowledge of its exploding equestrian community, June used her savings to purchase her own jumper and hauled north for fresh opportunities in Montana.
