Welcome to Choteau, Montana, in 2018. What was once only a small city focused on fossils, has now started to turn into an equestrian mecca. Everyone still knows everyone, so the question remains, what will you become?

"Come on, Luke, Luciano is waiting." Aunt Jen smiled warmly, and Luke sighed heavily as he followed, allowing her to put a hand on his shoulder to guide him. He shook it off once they got inside the coffee shop, standing to the side to avoid her touch with the usual avoidance of a wayward and rebellious teenager. They were here to set up some lesson schedule for him, apparantly, and it was easiest to meet in the local coffee shop. He hadn't wanted to come, but they had thought it would be good for him to have some input or at least hear what was happening. He did appreciate that, since his parents had made a lot of decisions without talking to him - he could understand it partially, but it didn't mean he wasn't any less bitter about it. So at least Aunt Jen and Uncle Harry were trying to include him and keep him more involved while he did what he had to do.
It didn't hurt that his aunt and uncle bought him a mocha while they were waiting. It gave him something to do with his hands while they sat at a table. They didn't have too long to wait, as the door opened. A small bell tinkled, and Uncle Harry waved him over. He must be the person we're waiting for. Luke eyed the man who approached the table with suspicion, as he did with most people.
"Hey, Luc, good to see ya!" Harry greeted him warmly.
Luciano had paused as he'd walked into the coffee shop, glancing around easily, having settled for jeans, t-shirt and (italian) leather jacket. before he spotted the small group, easily walking over. "Harry, good to see you as well," he stated with a smile "And Jen, may I say your looking as stunning as always?" he added on with a slight grin.
"And this must be Luke, is that correct?" he added on. "Please, I'll sit shortly, let me just order my usual when I come here," he added on, moving over to the counter to make his order before he returned to the table, taking a seat. "So, how you finding it here?" he directed that question at Luke, taking his jacket off by hanging it over the back of his seat.
"Oh, well thank you, Luc. Always a charmer." Jen laughed amiably, acting flattered with a bit of theatrics before he went to pick up his 'usual', whatever that was. Not that Luke really cared. He was just another adult trying to mess with his life. Luciano returned and directed his question toward Luke, who only shrugged, looking out the window with his mocha instead.
After a moment, Jen spoke for him. "He's been settling in all right, but it's still hard for him moving from a big city to a small town like Choteau. He seems to like his riding lessons though, and he has some nice classmates. Isn't that right, Luke?"
Luke shrugged. "I guess it doesn't completely suck." He mumbled, unwilling to offer more information than that. It wasn't like anyone would understand or care anyway. They would have just told him to suck it up or "that's how life was", and frankly, Luke didn't want to listen to any more lectures.
"We're hoping to get him on more of a schedule so he can learn properly." Jen clarified their intention. "He's still very green, but we thought a nice, patient teacher would be good for him." Even Luke could hear the implied emphasis on patience, and he scoffed under his breath.
Luc gave a slight tutting noise, glancing to Jen and Harry as if to go is he normally this difficult?' before setting himself up to be the epitome of patience. "Found anything you enjoy yet?" he probed carefully. Because for him he rather liked to have some form of basic understanding, which wouldn't be easy if he was met with prickliness.
Carefully he took a sip of his coffee giving a nod at Jens words. "And what do you want to do, and I am talking about relating to horse riding here, I somehow doubt giving it up is an option," he again was directing the question to Luke, trying to draw him out of his walls.
