Welcome to Choteau, Montana, in 2018. What was once only a small city focused on fossils, has now started to turn into an equestrian mecca. Everyone still knows everyone, so the question remains, what will you become?

Appearance
Aidan stands at around 5ft 11" tall (though he will protest that's 6ft in the morning thank you very much and if asked will add on that it's a documented fact you shrink an inch in a day), with hair that varies from pushed back by his incessant running his hands through it, to actually styled to be slicked back, its brown but so dark people rarely notice if it's dyed black. His eyes are brown (like dark melted chocolate if you ask him), and are technically his favourite part. He's also built a bit like a beanpole... so long and slender. Which he hates. He's most comfortable wearing baggy jumpers, even in summer if he can get away with it, or hoodies, the cuffs of which are invariably frayed with his tendency to fidget with them when he's nervous... or just to fidget... for fidgettings sake. He also has a small scar on the inside of his wrist where his first dog accidentally scratched him with his dew claw, and another scar on the back of his left ankle where he 'did a stupid' bike riding.
Personality
Personality wise Aidan varies from being a rambling mess, incapable of shutting up, and apparently ignoring the idea of brevity, or else he's so quiet that he ends up with a stammer. Did I mention he fidgets, constantly. Though technically much of his fidgetting is stimming, as he tries to cope with a world that seems too everything due to his aspergers. The quietest he tends to get, at least with fidgetting, is around horses, or dogs, and he's at his calmest with some four legged animal to distract his attention. By the way ask him about his service dog Thor and he'll talk about him till your bored sick.
So where does this lead to? Well his parents, in their infinite wisdom, decided that the way to bring him out of his shell was to send him to some distant relative he'd never met, with his dog, and a horse, in the hopes that breaking him out of his comfort zone would trigger some massive growth.
If anything its made him withdraw more, and meant that he's more prone to (in his words) a brain short circuit where he can break off mid sentence forgetting entirely what he was going to say. He also hates routine changes even more than he used to.
As a friend he's a friend for life... or at least until you make it obvious that your no longer interested in being his friend. He's very oblivious to social cues... but his hearts in the right place, it's a start right? Oh and he loves photography. How could I forget that.
History
So where to start. Aidan was born, to a mother and father, in a hospital, in a small town in the uk. Things were ... fraught... between them but they made do. Very early Aidan was diagnosed with Aspergers Syndrome, after he'd been considered as a highly disruptive pupil in primary school, apparently incapable of socialising with other children at breaks. But for the most part his life was normal.
After a study showing that dogs were beneficial to individuals with Aspergers Syndrome (when Aidan was 12), a rescue dog was brought into his, and their, life. And it was an immediate bond, and an immediate change to Aidan, as he started to get more willing to be social. He also managed to pursuade his parents to start taking him horse riding.
So everything, at least for all intents and purposes, was going ace... nothing wrong, life was great. Then on his 20th birthday he was brought a horse. Just after christmas himself and his horse were suddenly sent to Choteau, Montana, a place he'd never seen or been to. To an uncle he'd never met, or even was aware that existed. With Thor, and Marj.
So now he's trying to pick up the pieces, unaware that his mom and dad are going through a bitter divorce.
