Celeste parked her secondhand van, repainted and decorated with advertisements for her being a vet, at the parking lot by the Log Cabin Cafe. She had had a busy morning. She had visited a stable where the horses were due for their annual checks, went to a dog that was stung by a wasp as emergency, and returned to the stables to finish what she had started. She'd have an official meeting later, about the local law and whatnot more that would have to be taken into consideration when her clinic would be build. The official had been positive about her plans until now, even if she was trying to solve the puzzle of how to let ends meet.
She had walked with Sintha, who had been acting as such a good dog while she was working. Technically, she would have time to drive home before the meeting was to take place, but she figured it'd be calmer to just get some lunch here. The exciting times ahead were a reason she didn't sleep that well. Relaxation was a welcome change. Celeste stepped out of the car, calling her dog, who was sitting on the passenger seat, to follow her. The dog happily obliged, glad to be out of the car for now. Celeste locked the car and moved to the front door, hoping they'd have an empty table and allowed dogs inside.
Seeing no sign that mentioned anything about dogs, she leashed Sintha before entering the cafe. The black-white dog usually behaved, although a few exceptions were common. Right now she seemed to behave, following Celeste as instructed. The woman looked around, she hadn't been here before. The cafe looked nice. Maybe a bit dark, but the interior fitted the name. And the area, she imagined it would be the thing tourists would love to visit, too. She spotted an empty table and took the liberty to sit down at it before an employee had the chance to respond.
