Welcome to Choteau, Montana, in 2018. What was once only a small city focused on fossils, has now started to turn into an equestrian mecca. Everyone still knows everyone, so the question remains, what will you become?

Riddled with bullet wounds, and scars caused by horses or bulls, his body is like that of a map that tells stories. Stories that kids would hide under the bed from.
He's a whopping six foot six inches tall, broad shouldered and muscular. He went through a recent phase of wearing his hair long but decided to chop it off for convenience.
All of Durango's other scars are internal.
Personality
A quiet man, Durango can come off as a bit broody and mysterious. He's got his demons, he tries to hide them, but he suffers from grief and guilt. It's been years since the death of his wife, but he's held onto the memories and to her, refusing to move on. A loyal man to the end of his days, Durango prides himself on being just, and compassionate. He's fair, kind, but also unmoving. He has beliefs that aren't easily changed. He believes there is right and wrong - but he's also the Gunner that's played in the gray area. Durango does what's necessary to survive. He'd never take a life unfairly, or for the hell of it, but he's not afraid to choose himself over the other person, or his family over himself and their assailant.
He's an alpha man, a man's man. Durango is a leader, quite independent of others. He walks a path that veers off from the rest of his family, one that's riddled with demons of his past.
History
He’s the oldest Grand-Gunner in the Gunner family, which is ironic seeing as how he’s not the one running the ranch, which is just fine by him. He’s got other responsibilities, other things he would rather be doing. One of those things is raising his two kids. That’s right, Durango’s a father. He has a 10 year old girl, Levi and a 7 year old boy, Lane, who are his world. He married his high school sweetheart just months after graduation. they had issues in the beginning with conceiving but in the end, of course, they had kids.
Lane was born while he was overseas and Levi was born right before he left for third tour. After Levi, Durango made it a point to spend more time at home than deployed because he wanted his kids to know who he was. It was like that for a while. he convinced his superiors to let him take off enough time to live with his family, retire from the Navy altogether, and live out the rest of their lives in thier country home. But life has a way of disappointing you. The day his wife told him she was pregnant with their third child was the day he would lose her for good. He has the constant reminder of that, a scar forever tattooed on his shoulder where one of the bullets from a drunk and stupid bastard thought robbing a convenient store was a good idea. Three bullets rang out. One hit the cashier, one hit him when he put himself between the kids and his wife, and the shooter. Unfortunately Durango was too slow, because the third hit his wife just before he could get to her. The wound was fatal. She died there in the store, in his arms, in front of their kids.
That was six years ago.
He quit the Navy altogether. He became a soldier for hire, a mercenary. He worked for the highest bidder, within reason. It’s a shitty life and he believes some of the reason he does it is to try and be with his wife sooner than God has planned. Of course, he knows he has kids. Levi and Lane stay with his grandparents while he’s away on jobs. That’s what coming to Choteau is all about. A job. Durango is in town for one thing only. Whether he stays here or not - that’s up in the air.
