Welcome to Choteau, Montana, in 2018. What was once only a small city focused on fossils, has now started to turn into an equestrian mecca. Everyone still knows everyone, so the question remains, what will you become?

Cheyenne is a small, petite woman, standing at around 5'3" and 120 lbs. She has mostly muscle on her from working out occasionally. Her tanned skin comes naturally from her heritage, though she is American born and raised. She has dark hair that falls to her shoulders, and she usually wears it down. Unless she is working on a project, and needs it out of her face. She wears tight-fitting clothing, and converse. She has an artsy style about her, and some of her clothes are actually stained with paint. She wears her converse shoes with pretty much every outfit she owns, unless of course, she's riding.
Personality
Cheyenne has Bipolar Disorder II. Due to her medications, she doesn't get excited very easily, but on the bright side, she also doesn't hit lows either. Her mood is fairly stable, for the time being. She is very laid-back, and relaxed. A go-with-the-flow type personality. Off of her medications, Cheyenne is a wild child. She is either very impulsive and outgoing, or she's depressed and hides for days. Her mood can be very unstable, and sometimes a mixture of both impulsive and depressed. She is open to listening to anything anyone needs. Always tries to think about others first. In general, she does her best to have a positive outlook on life.
History
Cheyenne was born in California, to Eric and Jennifer Mayfield. She has two older brothers, Ryder and Kaiden. She has lived in California for most of her life, up until this move to Choteau. Her parents have always owned horses, for as long as she can remember. They were putting her on the back of them since she was about a year or two old. By the time she was six, she was riding ponies on her own and showing them in 4H competitions. Her parents bought her a 8 year old Quarter Horse, Ransom, when she was 10. They became best friends almost instantly. They competed in competitions in the surrounding areas of her town. They weren't top of the competitions, but they had fun either way. At the age of 14, her best friend, Alaina, committed suicide. Alaina had a troubled home, and there just wasn't enough support for her. Cheyenne took this hard. She became very depressed and kept to herself. She stopped riding. Stopped going to the barn to see Ransom. Stopped studying. Her grades fell. Her horse became restless. About two weeks later, almost as if her mood turned around, she became hyper. Reckless, impulsive. She still wasn't riding, but she was going out to parties. Ignoring the rules her parents set. She bought things she didn't need or have the money for. Boys became a problem for her. Always dating the bad boys. Her parents were concerned about her. They didn't know how to handle her. They spoke to her doctor, and her doctor recommended she see a psychiatrist. Cheyenne agreed, though reluctantly. Her first appointment, the psychiatrist diagnosed her with Bipolar Disorder II. She wasn't hallucinating or hearing things. She was what they used to call "manic depressive." It took about half a year to find the right medications to treat her, so she was as back to normal as she could be. She hated the idea of having to take meds for the rest of her life, but she understood it would help her. After getting on the medications, life got better for her. She was more stable, and less reckless. She began to focus on her painting skills and worked as a freelance artist throughout her early twenties. It wasn't a whole lot of money, but she got by. It helped her raise her horse. When Ransom was 24, she had to put him down due to his teeth going bad. Cheyenne lost track of her medications. She was a bit reckless with what money she did have, and fell in love with a Rocky Mountain Horse. She bought him, and up and decided to uproot her life to Choteau. She is now back on her meds, and has been in the city for at least a year now. She's scraping by with her freelancing and working at the local coffee shop.
