Kristian looks very Scandinavian being tall, blonde, and with blue eyes. He's fairly fit and athletic both from his time in the army and a general love of exercise and the outdoors. He dresses fairly casually though lacks any concrete fashion style. Standing at 6'4", he's quite physically imposing and a lack of facial expressions only add to a fearsome countenance. He has some stubble that sometimes gets shaved off when he really needs to look presentable.
Personality
Kristian isn't the most socially adept person, but he tries in earnest and is extremely efficient in his interactions. While not outright humble, he holds a poor opinion of bragging and tends to minimize his own skills and accomplishments. He acts very Scandinavian, and a slightly passive aggressive attitude when annoyed betrays his Minnesota upbringing. To those who can burrow into his heart, he's affectionate and protective. Kristian does have a strong sense of pride and hates to admit any sort of weakness.
History
Kristian was born to Norwegian parents and grew up in the Minneapolis area. He had a relatively normal childhood, though any and all vacation time was spent going back to Norway to visit family. He was an awkward loner growing up preferring the company of computers and books to people. In high school, he lacked a clear sense of direction for his future and enlisted with the army serving four years in active duty. He worked primarily as a Cable Systems Installer-Maintainer and afterwards, went to university and pursued a degree in computer engineering and computer science.
His first introduction to hacking was in the army helping to test their security systems. The problem solving and attention to detail suited him, and he continued practicing even in university. However, he also met some underground hacking groups that helped hone his craft and introduced him to a less legal side of hacking. Following his graduation, Kristian struggled to find work and live independently. Desperate, he turned to more illegal hacking just to make ends meet and maintain an illusion of living well to his family.
In the months leading up to the 2016 election, Kristian came across evidence of Russians interfering the the news and voting. He sat on the evidence for some time unsure of his loyalties and possible repercussions. However, his conscience got the better of him, and he turned the information over the government with stipulations. In doing so, he put his life at risk and demanded protection and a place to hide. In return, he had to promise to cease and desist his illegal activities, and he wouldn't be brought to trial for his crimes. Kristian agreed to the terms and moved to Choteau where he found new employment and received Ivarr as his body guard. He's lived in Choteau for the past two years carefully concealing his past and trying to live as normally as possible.
